Muireann is an experienced and passionate tutor and has extensive experience teaching uilleann piping masterclasses to both children and adults, delivering workshops at major traditional music events in Ireland and internationally.
Qualified with a FirstClass Honours BMus degree from the MTU Cork School of Music, as well as a Comhaltas Ceolteoirí Éireann diploma in the teaching of Irish Traditional Music, (TTCT) Muireann possesses an in depth knowledge and command of traditional music from both a practical and theoretical point of view.
Muireann is also highly experienced in teaching musicianship and Suzuki Violin in primary schools and incorporates Irish songs and melodies as a foundation for solfa singing, aural training, rhythmic skills and literacy, should this be an area of interest for you.
